YaYaHo Hanging System

YaYaHo Hanging System

Designed by Ingo Maurer and Team in 1984, YaYaHo is low-voltage lighting system that uses two steel-braided cables to pass current with the help of an attached transformer.

Several different lighting elements can be elegantly draped across the cables. The elements provide different type of lighting and can be freely adjusted to suit any room. Perfectly suitable for the home or a commercial setting such as restaurant or an art gallery.

Due to the complexity of this system, we strongly recommend contacting us prior to purchase.

The cables (part B) can span up to 33 feet (10m) and can even bend (using ceiling rods as pivot points). Cables can be mounted to the wall or the ceiling with rods (part E).

The transformer (part A) can be attached to a ceiling electrical box or be plugged into a wall outlet.

A total of 200W worth of lighting elements can be hung per transformer (each element varies in wattage from 35W to 50W). Up to 2 transformers can be attached to a single set of lines (although they must be isolated from one another).

Each piece can be bought individually but a system must be composed of: 1 transformer, 2 steel-braided lines and at least 2 lighting elements.
