Window garden self-standing system by BIG

Designed by BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) in 2016, Window garden self-standing is a system of seven, overlapping, high-pressure cast white porcelain vases mounted on a thin, metal, tripod base. The vases themselves are designed to allow for hydroponic cultivation. The piece reworks the idea of the “vertical forest” but on a domestic scale. Legendary porcelain maker Rosenthal produced the vases and reservoir, the latter being the largest piece of porcelain they have ever produced. Product on order.
