Designed by Ingo Maurer and Franz Ringelhan in 1983, Ilios is made up of a round piece of opaline glass that balances between two long metal rods. Ilios is an elegant standing lamp for accent lighting in situations in which calm, not overly bright light is required. A red, fluorescent isolation is wedged at the lower end of the rods to provide a minimal touch of colour. 40 years after Franz Ringelhan's design, the Ingo Maurer team has developed an LED update of the classic Ilios floor lamp. Virtually unchanged and as simple as ever, Ilios emits a warm light thanks to the light source's dim-to-warm technology.
