Flying Flame Hanging System
Flying Flame Hanging System
Designed by Moritz Waldemeyer and Ingo Maurer and Team in 2013, Flying Flames System is the modern interpretation of a grouping of candles, suspended from a large ceiling canopy. Downlights provide additional lighting towards the tabletop and are essential if the system needs to act at a proper lamp and not just as a decorative lighting object.
Flying Flames uses modern LEDs to create a nostalgic light effect that simulates naturally flickering candlelight. Based on the video footage of an actual burning candle, Two LED screens reproduce the slight flickering of a flame in a realistic and fascinating way. The LEDs form a rectangle on both sides of the slim PCB board, so that the flame image can be seen on both sides of the lamp.
Canopy available square or rectangle and can hold up to 10 candles and 3 downlights
Flying Flames downlights available in two colours: chrome or black
Flying Flames elements available in three colours: white, red or black (PCB components always black)
