50th anniversary Tizio by Richard Sapper
50th anniversary Tizio by Richard Sapper
To celebrate Tizio's 50th anniversary, it is available in a limited, all red finish. Originally designed by Richard Sapper and introduced in 1972, the Tizio lamp is built with two counterweights allowing the user to direct the light at will. The lamp adjusts with a pull or push of the hand and stays in place as set. Eliminating the need for extraneous wires and enhancing a clean aesthetic, Tizio’s arms conduct electricity to the bulb which was an early introduction of halogen to an industry outside of automotive. A small reflector works with the light source to provide highly concentrated light.
