Laguna table lamp family by Matteo Thun for Artemide. A large handblown globe that fades from white to clear helps emits a warm glow. Sat atop an anodized metal base. Available on order in two finishes and three sizes. Laguna 37 in bronze can be seen at the store during opening hours.

Born in Italy in 1952, Matteo Thun co-founded the Memphis Design movement in 1981. Having trained as an architect, his practice promotes designs which are simple in appearance but complex in meaning. The winner of many awards, in 2004 he was inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame.

Né en Italie en 1952, Matteo Thun est un des fondateurs du mouvement Memphis Design en 1981. Architecte de formation, sa pratique fait souvent la promotion des conceptions simples en apparence mais complexes en sens. Lauréat de nombreux prix, il a été intronisé en 2004 au Temple de la renommée du design d'intérieur.
