Mushroom chair by Pierre Paulin for Artifort. Paulin's first collaboration with the brand, helped lay the groundwork of his now famous design language of taunt fabrics over organic forms made of foam and tubular steel. Part of the MoMA's permanent collection.

Made in the Netherlands, 1990’s and were the exact chairs that graced the lobby of the Hôtel Gault here in Montreal.

We have reupholstered them in a high-end danish fabric by Kvadrat (Tonica2, colour code 0192), a rich black wool fabric with undertones of dark grey, reads as pure black from far but much more complex as you approach. 200$/yard, three and half yards used per chair. New foam as well.
