Collection: Jieldé
Hailing from the suburbs of Lyon, in Saint Priest, Jieldé is born in 1949 when designer Jean-Louis Domecq dreamt of a lamp adapted to the needs of his occupation; a robust, simple and articulated lamp with no cables in its joints. He invents the Jieldé system that uses a unique swivel that forgoes wiring to allow for free range of motion. This made them ideal for use in sectors such as factories, workshops and drafting. With a strong following in the industrial field, it was only a matter of time until Jieldé lamps were used in homes.
Using the same tooling as their first iterations, Jieldé continues to produce their legacy lamps in the very town they were first made in and have expanded their catalog to include shapes that remain true to their original ethos.
