Italian manufacturer Artemide was founded in 1959 by Ernesto Gismondi and Sergio Mazza. Now synonymous with Italian design, Artemide has anchored itself as the top Italian lamp manufacturer of the last 60 years. 

Born in Milan and brought to life alongside the Memphis Design Movement, Artemide continues to workshop with both design and technical schools worldwide to create forward-thinking, truly useful, aesthetically enhancing and environmentally aware lighting. Notable designers such as Ettore Sottsass, Gae Aulenti and Michele De Lucci helped make what Artemide is today, leaders of the industry through design and technology.
